Woven all together, they make up a fascinating plot that had me turning pages well into the night! But Unraveling dives into the character’s minds, motivations, and individual missions. I absolutely loved how this book delved deeper than the first, which had to understandably introduce the storyworld. And I think I finished this book even faster than I did the first one. ![]() Since it immersed me right back into the story that began in Book One, I felt like I picked up right where we left off with no hitch. When a gold digger hooks an old beau of Maud’s in “An Old Lady on Her Travels,” Maud decides to intervene, showing that she’s also ready to right wrongs that threaten others. ![]() In the delightful “An Elderly Lady Has Accommodation Problems,” a pushy neighbor has designs on Maud’s apartment, and that can’t be tolerated. It'll be an uphill battle, though: Natasha doesn't even believe in love. On his way to an interview with a Yale alum, he sees Natasha rocking out to some music on the street. He'd give anything to escape his seemingly inevitable destiny of attending Yale and becoming a doctor. Speaking of those main characters, they're about as star-crossed as they come, though only one of them would agree aspiring poet Daniel is a hard-core believer in fate. Most of the action takes place in just one day, but it's a day that changes the lives of the main characters forever.
